Coming back with nostalgia

It was a great time to return to Cambodia again. One month there was just a blink! Then it is time to say good-bye and return to pursue my dream, which separates me from my lovely family and country.

A long suffer from landmine

Resulted from decades of war, Cambodia is left with poor infrastructures and almost zero of human resources. Even worst, the country is still struggling with landmines, one of the country's silent killers. It a slow and paintful process to clear one signle landmine. A deminer could spend the whole day to just identify and clear one. All of my friends, I would like to invite all of you to spend 3 minutes on a documentary about landmine clearance. It is an effort to rescue land for farmers. Enjoy it and I am waiting for your comments.

New development from Cambodia

Politics: Cambodian Prime Minister said his new ministers will be more focused on their ministerial work by dropping their parliarmentary positions, reported the Phonom Penh Post on Friday. Ther are around 40 Cambodian People's Party officials, who are holding dual postions both at the government and parliarmentay, are being considered to resign, added the paper.

Closing Cambo Six is a safe bet for securing government's social goals

The Phnom Penh Post's article "Game over for Cambo Six", published on February 26 about the government's closure of Cambodia's legal betting company Cambo Six revealed another major development of the Kingdom's policies towards gambling. It is more focused on long-term results of social improvement by eliminating contradictory forces such as gambling. The new policy will save a great deal for the government's poverty reduction plan, for public spending and for improvements in education. Firstly, the closure will remove the forces that contradict poverty-reduction efforts. This means at the same time the government and civil society are running programs to make people richer, gambling makes them poorer.
